Research on Cryogenic Refrigerant Circulation System for Cooling High Temperature Superconducting Coils

Abstract:Meeting requests for HTS coils cooling system in induction heating,the refrigerant circulation cooling system is been chosen.
Requests of induction heating:
①Coils can be efficiently cooled even over long distances;
②Number of coils can be adjusted;
③The entire coils can be cooled evenly to 20 to 40 K.

In the refrigerant circulation system, convection dominates the heat transfer, so the temperature gradient is small,which is better than the heat conduction cooling system when the distance of cooler and coil is long.

So we are looking forward to a better cooling power through refrigerant circulation system.
